We love our community and are so proud of the local authors that have come out of our area. St. Pete’s literary community is BOOMING with several independent bookstores, Carnegie libraries, renowned literary events, and incredible literary non-profits which all work together to elevate our town. Our store, Book + Bottle, is a small, independent book store that also includes a wine bar. That means we have extremely limited book space and therefore a small and highly curated inventory. While we wish we could support each one of our town’s amazing authors, it’s impossible to think we could stock them all. Read on to see how we’re helping to support our author community.
LOCAL AUTHOR

Want your book on our shelves?
We choose books by local authors, about local issues, and/or books that fit with the brand of our shop. If you’d like us to consider including your book in our inventory, please fill out the below request form. We will select books from this list to stock in our store. Please do not submit a physical review copy unless requested. Submitted books will not be returned.
Want to host an Author event?
Spots for author events are extremely limited. Please fill out the form below and if we think it could be a good fit, we’ll reach out.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for our shelves or for an event, your book must be bound, with clear and legible title and author information on the cover and the spine. No books with stapled or spiral binding will be able to be considered. Cover images must be of good quality. Images and text cannot be pixelated and all text must be very legible. Your book must also have a valid ISBN and barcode. As a rule, we do not accept books that are published primarily through Amazon. We must be able to purchase the book through a publisher or Ingram Wholesale.
REGARDING AMAZON
We understand that Amazon has created a platform for many people to author and publish their own books, which we think is amazing. Congratulations to anyone who has taken that massive step and fulfilled their dream to write a book through any medium. That said, Amazon.com is also a huge and unfair competitor to small and independent business throughout the country. They undermine small businesses by frequently pricing their products below cost and releasing books before agreed upon release dates because they are too large to fail. While they may be able to get a delivery to you in mere hours or days, they do not provide a community or support your community as we try so hard to do. It’s important to us that the authors we choose to support in our store also choose to support us - please consider this when communicating with us about your book.
THE FORM
Please fill out this form if you’d like us to consider stocking your book, hosting an author event, and/or if you’re interested in our quarterly author open houses.
