Wine Review: Seven Hills Rosé
Brief Review by Terra (+ Steve)
Two things Terra + Steve can agree on is that Washington State wines are often underrated and that people don’t drink nearly enough cabernet franc. So last weekend I brought home a bottle of Seven Hills Rosê of Cabernet Franc from the Columbia Valley of Washington for us to enjoy.
The rosé is soft and supple in your mouth. It’s crisp and bright but doesn’t have a bite. It’s crunchy like you bit into a slice of watermelon too far and got a bit of that refreshing white-green-pink rind. It’s so summery. The rounder body allows this wine to pair well with richer foods like glazed ribs or barbecue, but that nice greenness that comes from the cabernet franc grape makes this a perfect pairing for a salad or some grilled veggies. This wine is a crowd pleaser and will make everyone at your summer grill out very happy!
